The Global Commission for Theological Education & Quality Assurance, Inc. welcomes inquiries from institutions seeking information about accreditation, eligibility, standards, documentation requirements, quality assurance, and the formal review process. Institutions are encouraged to contact GCTEQA before submitting a formal accreditation application if they have questions about scope, eligibility, delivery models, credential levels, or institutional requirements.

Before Beginning Accreditation
Institutions interested in formal accreditation should review GCTEQA’s accreditation scope, eligibility requirements, standards, evidence expectations, and public recognition disclosures before beginning the application process. A preliminary inquiry does not constitute an application, candidacy, accreditation, certification, approval, or guarantee of future accreditation.
Submitting Accreditation Documents
Institutions should not send confidential student records, financial information, passwords, sensitive personal information, or large accreditation evidence files through the general website contact form unless specifically instructed by GCTEQA. Institutions entering formal review will receive instructions regarding approved methods for submitting accreditation materials and confidential documentation.
Complaints & Accreditation Concerns
Complaints relating to a GCTEQA-accredited or candidate institution, or concerns regarding GCTEQA accreditation processes, should be submitted through the applicable complaint procedure. The complaint process is intended to address matters falling within GCTEQA’s published standards, policies, or accreditation responsibilities. It is not intended to replace institutional grievance procedures, courts, licensing authorities, law-enforcement agencies, or other appropriate governmental or regulatory processes.
